I have a Fotodyne CCD camera that uses ImageJ to communicate with my iMac. I recently updated the iMac to the latest Mac OS (High Sierra, 10.13.3) and now when I try to use the camera with ImageJ I get an error message: “plugin not found”. The plugin I use is “1394 camera”. The company that used to make this system does not sell it anymore and they do not support ImageJ.

The first time I try to run ImageJ I get this error:

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Applications/ImageJ/libjsfwlive.jnilib: Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/sfwlib.framework/Versions/A/sfwlib Referenced from: /Applications/ImageJ/libjsfwlive.jnilib Reason: image not found

When I try to run ImageJ for the second time I get the following error:

Plugin or class not found: “Live_”

(java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class sfwcam.ui.jsfwl_ui)

I assume that the problem is the location of the plugin so I moved the ImageJ.app out of the ImageJ folder and then copied it back. It is my understanding that this gets around the macOS Path Randomization. Unfortunately this did not work.

Any help getting this resolved is much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Ivan
