Is there any way on extending the Imageready frame limit past 240 seconds?

Currently, in CS 1 on a PC, you can't go past the limit of 240 seconds, which is a pain when trying to get an image to change everyday. I don't know about flash, can it change the image by the day and export it as a .gif? Otherwise is there anyway around creating 360 frames per day?

Thanks. :)

If you want to have a image change on a daily basis, you need to think about php.

It is not practical to make a really long timeline.

I didn't word my original post exactly right.

I NEED this to be an animated image (ie .gif) so I can use it as a background. It's not for website use, just a fun project.

The delay time field in the GIF89a format is an unsigned 16-bit number. That makes the longest possible frame time 655.35 seconds (delays are stored as hundredths of a second). I don't know why ImageReady forces a somewhat shorter limit, I see that GraphicConverter will silently reduce delays to 300.00 seconds on saving too (there may be GIF display libraries out there that incorrectly treat the field as signed, making the practical limit 327.67 seconds).

Anyway, even if you were to find something that can force the absolute maximum frame delay, the longest you would manage to get is 5 to 10 minutes. That's nowhere near the day-long frames you had in mind…
