We've had a lot of trouble connecting via IMAP to my company's exchange server. It connects seamlessly when on WiFi on the local network (at my office). On EDGE, it doesn't receive email, only sends. I haven't tried it on a non-local WiFi network.

Apple and AT&T are saying this is a known issue they are working with the edge network to solve. I find this hard to believe, since people say they have exchange and IMAP working well together.

Is anyone out there experiencing similar problems? Does anyone have IMAP working with exchange over egde?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Maybe your exchange server has some encryption setting on receiving mail (but not on sending) that is currently incompatible with iPhone? That might explain why it'd work on WiFi but not on edge (since your phone is seeing as being on a different LAN).

Does it work if your on WiFi on a remote network? Like home, or a starbucks, or something...

No. I realized it only sends but doesn't receive on any non-local WiFi network... Good idea. Let me look into this..

Is there a relevant IMAP or exchange setting you are aware of to look for this?
