IMAP/POP and SSL?

Does anyone know if the iPhone will support SSL-encrypted POP and IMAP email accounts? At least one of my email accounts is not accessible any other way, and with all the stories about corporate IT departments claiming that the iPhone does not have sufficient security features, I'm worried that this support is missing.

Gmail is officially supported via pop and i believe it requires ssl, so yes it should.
