I just upgraded to an iPhone 13. Same carrier, same phone number. However I am not able to activate iMessage and have it link to my phone number. It is able to link successfully to my email address but not my phone number. I tried the troubleshooting steps at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201422 but it didn't help. Has anyone else figured this out?

Samething is happening with my iPhone 12. It also happens in FaceTime as well. Even with iMessages on my MBA, it doesn't show my phone number, only my email address. My phone carrier is Verizon. I think its coming from Apple's end that it dosen't recognize phone numbers anymore. I'm downloading IOS 15.4 beta to see if it solves the issue.

Has anyone found an answer to this dilemma? My iPhone for the past week has been losing iMessage activation from my cell number constantly.
