iMessage active

Am I the only one who wants Apple to add an option to let people know if your active or not? Much like messenger has. The only problem I see is that its not really possible not to be active, because even when your not in the iMessage app, its still receiving new messages. But let me know your thoughts

If this was to happen, I would like to have a switch in settings to disable it. Could be interpreted to be a bit invasive when you may not choose to reply to someone. It is a good option to have though.

Closest thing to this is Read Receipts. If the person you sent a message has this turned on, it will say “Read” instead of “Delivered” once they have seen the message. This means they are “active.”

It would be an interesting feature but I don't think the Message app would be like a messenger to show when you were last active or changing your status from "Online", "Active", "Offline", "Busy" etc. I think the receiver might be more annoyed like Read Receipt feature to let the sender know the receiver read their message but no response or was "Active" but ignore or not reading their message and proceed to spam you to get attention lol

In iMessage, you'll know when someone is active if they have "Read Receipts" on or if they are composing a reply.

What if you're at work? What if your boss decide to iMessage just to see if you're actually "Active" on iMessage than working?

I prefer a more professional/basic messaging app. I get its designed for a wide range of people but its already a little to "kiddie" for me which is causing it to be cluttered. iMessage App Store is just stickers!

I just don't use a lot of features it offers. Apple Pay was a nice addition and I use it with friends, although still not as often as PayPal.

Point is I dont need it to be more like Facebook with active status. Not that I want to withhold that feature from someone else but I think time and effort could be invested elsewhere.
