What are you guys doing or using to get around imessage no sending to non iPhone people? Mine was working but somehow the last patch got loaded and it broke (I had all patches turned off, download and install, so not sure how that happened. But nothing goes out to a green bubble person again and no luck even though it worked a week ago.

Any message apple allow iPhone people to talk to android people?

Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks

I send them green bubble messages. I wasn’t aware of any way to send iMessage to an android phone. I know there used to be hacks or people with android phones could download some type of fake iMessage client, but it was really sketchy when it comes to security.

If I need to send someone a picture or feel like I need more of a iMessage type experience then I will use Facebook messenger. There’s also another app from Facebook (Meta) called WhatsApp that’s really popular. If you don’t use Facebook or don’t want to have these people on your Facebook friends list, this works well. The only downside is you have to convince them to download the app as well. It’s really popular in Europe, but not so much in the USA.

Edit: I just realized you said you can’t send SMS messages to your android friends. It sounds like your problem might be with your carrier. I would talk to them. I’ve heard weird things like even the Sim card going bad but that’s something they should troubleshoot for you.

I called them, they said no changes to my account in the last week and it's apple's fault. Apple says android people should get iMessage and it's not their fault.
I would kill for a flip phone with a great hotspot and be done with all this smartphone stuff. MMS still works to android, just not SMS

Under Settings > Messages, make sure both iMessage and Send as SMS are toggled on. I had an issue like this and Send as SMS was off.
