iMessage Bug?

Could anyone confirm a possible bug in iMessage? I sent a message probably about a day ago, and now the recipient keeps receiving it over and over. And I don't even send it. It's a message that the recipients sister CANNOT see, so it's a huge annoyance. Does anyone know how to resolve it? The best resolution right now is to turn off notifications and turn off iMessage, but it's a huge pain
