iMessage Contact Photos

Anyone know of a way to get rid of the contact pictures that are on the top of open messages? I can get rid of the ones in the message list but would rather just see a larger name at the top of the message themselves.
There currently isn't one. It makes *some* sense, the icon is now a tap target (different from the (I)nformation icon).
Apple will probably come back and add a toggle for it at some point. iOS 9 started off not allowing you to turn off the contact icon in the messages list.
