Okay so iMessage works on Wifi and 3G, so now I'm paying for unlimited texts so i can talk to people on Android based phones and stuff; but is iMessage running up against my usable data plan? I don't wanna buy an unlimited data plan...anyone?

iMessage is billed as data, and only works between iOS 5 devices.

Not to mention, any messages you send via iMessage aren't going to use very much of your bandwidth anyway. That is why regular SMS is such a scam.

However, if you already have an unlimited texting plan, then I guess you can turn off iMessage (Under Settings-->Messages) if you want to be absolutely sure you don't use any data when sending a text message.
