Unable to send or receive. Find my friends seems to be broken too.

Something is happening for sure as my iMessage and FaceTime were turned off (?????) in the morning and I could not log in only after reboot.

Seems resolved now. Annoying that Apple's own "status" page doesn't update in real-time.

Haven't noticed any issues on the west coast.
