So i jumped in to the new iPhone 4s from a Htc Evo 3D. and i am very pleased, the feature iMessage is neat but the reciever would get 2 different threads 1. as the sms showing the number 2. the email address ( apple ID )
so as i messed with the settings a little bit i figured out a way to eliminate the email address one.
first you sign off iMessage-> sign off from iTunes Store/App Store-> sign back in to iTunes/App Store-> TURN ON iMESSAGE..
- when it asked for "log in to iMessage using APPLE ID" do not sign on.
as of now everything message/iMessage related is linked to your phone number.
which is good.
this is my settings.
Picture 1-shows iMessage is ON. and the receiving number is my phone number
Picture 2-notice i didnt log in to my apple ID-(email/same *****) only my phone number showed up.
Picture 3-I sent a text to my friends mom iPhone 4 with the iOS 5 update..
Picture 4- he sent me a screen shot of her phone of my thread and you can see that it is with my phone number not email.
this is probably the simplest method of fixing the issue, ive seen people take out their sims and deleting emails this and that but follow what i did ull still be okay..
note: even tho i didnt log in with APPLE ID through iMessage, my app store/itunes store/email is working. my contacts are in perfect sync. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.
