Is there any way I can turn these off?

I've already been added to a couple that contain people I don't know and am getting 20+ notifications a minute from it. Everytime I delete it it just comes back with someone else continuing the chat. Even more worrying is that I can see the phone numbers of these people so assume they can see mine.

BBM it ain't, at least give me the option to block people or leave a chat for good!

Bigger question is why do people who would add you to random chats with people you don't know have your phone number?

Because one of them knows me, he sent a joke to multiple contacts.

The fun with that is everyone else in the chat would have to close it and someone would need to re-invite all of the people. Then all it takes is one more person to reply to the original chat and BAM, we're all back in the room!

I'm just ignoring them in the hope it will fizzle out at some point soon, currently got 4 chats on the go. Brilliant.
