I have a group of 20 in a text, 18 are iphone/imessage users, two are android?/not imessage users. Every time we want to edit the list we can't simply edit it but instead must replace it. Also now a 21st person would like to be added and imessage will not allow that addition. Any suggestions, workarounds or perhaps a better App to solve this issue? Thanks for your time.

This only works if ALL members in the group are iMessage users (the bubbles should be blue). If one user in the group is not an iMessage user, then the group text is just using regular SMS (bubbles are green). In this case, you need to start a new group text in order to add a new person.

Also, since you are using SMS, the number of people in a group depends on the carrier networks as well. For example, I believe Verizon's limit is 20 people. To have more people in a group, everyone would need to use a different app. Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat are a few examples.
