iMessage issue

I have the new iPhone 6 plus 64 GB and having a issue with iMessages . I have iMessage turned on and randomly it turns itself off. When it turns itself off I get no messages on my iPhone . They come to my iMac and iPad . I have called Apple and ATT getting no when, I did a network reset, It works for 5 minutes and sometimes a week . When I realize I am not getting messages I look at the settings and its off. I am the only person using my phone and its really starting to tick me off. If iMessages is turned off on the phone I do not get messages. Any suggestions? Unfortunately it took me more than 14 days to realize this, otherwise I would have just brought the phone to Apple. Help?? and yes SMS is turned on

Have you tried just restoring it, and then not restoring from a backup? Appreciate that it might be a pain but hopefully the initial setup will re-register it with iMessage properly.
