iPhone iMessage issues on 12.1.1 - not receiving SMS

I have an iPhone XS max and my daughter has an iPhone X. We are both on Tmobile. Since the 12.1.1 update neither of us are receiving SMS messages from non-imessage users. We can receive MMS from them and they get our messages we send to them. But something seems borked with the update. I've tried disabling and re-enabling imessage and it didn't help.

Anyone else having this issue?
