iMessage not sync'd between MacPro/iPhone

Just realized that iMessage on my Mac Pro isn't sync'd with Messages I send out on my iPhone - it appears it's been that way about 4 weeks. If I send a text to someone on my phone it doesn't show up on iMessage on my Mac Pro. If I send a text through iMessage on the Mac it starts a different conversation on the receivers phone that if I texted on my phone. Any ideas on what happened?

What do you have "start new conversations from" set to on both devices? Do both devices have all your accounts set up?

Thanks for the link Mr. Zarniwoop! For some reason my phone number wasn't checked in the iMessage/Preference/Accounts dialog box. Not sure why that would have been unchecked… hadn't done any updates at the time when it quit working...
