Hi all,

I was away from home this weekend, and my iPad was left at home and must have died at some point. For some reason, my iMessage conversations during that time do not show up. I just plugged it in, and now it’s synching normally, but the weekend’s messages are nowhere. I’ve restarted the device and closed all apps. I’ve also tried turning iMessages off then on, on the iPad.

In the iCloud settings section, I have iMessage cloud storage off (it’s always been off).

18.0.1 on both devices.

Any idea on how I can get the iPad to show the missing messages?

Thanks in advance.

Ive also noticed this since jumping to ios18, along with some other odd behaviour (keep getting notification on Mac that a new device signed in) I honestly thought it was me going mad but messages would just disappear

Thanks for the feedback. As @Rousey said, it seems to be new to ios18. I hope apple fixes this bug.
