Hiya Guys,
Ive recently updated my iPhone and iPad to IOS5, all went well with no hiccups.
On both devices i connect to the iTunes store using one apple ID, and both connect to iCloud using a another, iCloud only account.
Now, when i iMessage a friend from my iPhone it comes up as from my phone as it were, but if it comes from my iPad it shows up as from my email. Surely as they are both on the same accounts, they would come up as one and the same.
Also, when someone sends me a message to my phone, will it come up one my iPhone swell ?
Any help would be appreciated :)
Rory

From me as well. When i send from my iPad it comes from my email. BUT my brother sent from his iPAd and it comes from the contact name I have him saved as. ALSO - he is able to iMessage me via iPad - but I cannot message him thru the iPAd - it states that he isn't setup for it - but he clearly is. Any reason or solution to myself and the OP issues?!?!

BTW - first post!! I shall be visiting these forums more often! Looks nice!

Answrered my own question. For the first part - since it's not really a legit SMS text message - its not actually coming from a phone number, but rather an E-Mail address. So - you and your recipient have to have each others email addresses stored and properly tagged.

For the second part of my question - It was a problem on his end. He didn't have his settings correct.
