Hi there..

iMessage on Iphone4 not showing "Read" only "Delivered". Send Read Receipt is ON (all the forums seem to focus on when this is not on)..

Have iOS 5.0.1 installed on my Iphone4. Have Read Receipt on. I only get delivered. When I said a message to myself it should at least say "Read". When I call Apple support, they offer me a $80 package or $35 one time help! Like what the hell!

I'm not sure how it supposed to work when you're iMessaging yourself.. But in order for it to work with someone else THEY have to have read receipts turned on in order for you to know they've read it.

I tested sending messages to myself and I do not get a read notice or receipt. I tested with a friend and he said on his end he does see when I read his messages so it's working.

If you want to see when your friends read your iMessages they have to have read receipts enabled on their end.
