Imessage option changes to "forever" after every main update (very sneaky Apple)

I started noticing every major update they keep changing my phones/Ipad from 30 days to forever, which of course slowly fills up cloud storage and trys to get you to buy their bigger plans.

interesting, it literally happened to 8 different phones around me and 3 ipads when updating to IOS17
