This might be the wrong section for an iMessage question (please move if needed). I bought my wife an iPod touch for christmas, and i am trying to get it all setup for her.

We will be sharing 1 iTunes account, but we both have our own .me email address. I would like to get iMessage working between my iPhone and her iTouch. But when i try to add her .me account to iMessage (under Settings-Messages-Receive At) i get the error below. Now i suspect that i am doing something wrong and would appreciate any help you can give me.

Your AppleID and your iMessage can be separate. Under the dialog where it says 'iMessages can be reached at..." just have her .me email address and not the AppleID that you share.
