iMessage search failing

I’m having an issue with searching for contacts or messages.


1. When searching in the iMessage app, my contacts or keywords aren’t found.


2. When searching using Siri search suggestions the contact will show, but when I click on the message bubble, it takes me to the message app and not the actual messages for that contact.


Has anyone else run into this? How do I reset this?

I’ve been having strange iMessage behavior as well. SMS messages sent to my iPhone are not being forwarded to my iPad.

I wonder if these issues are related to iMessages in the cloud that Apple pulled during the iOS 11 beta.

Search has never worked well for me. I can search a name or word that I know is in my iMessages and it won’t return any hits.
