iMessage showing phone number

Hey All,

I just had a quick question. Sorry if it's a little silly.

I've been testing out iMessage with a friend who has an iPhone. However, when I send him a text message (and he sends me one), we no longer see the Contact Name of each other. Instead, I see his phone number.

Is there anything special I have to do to add a iMessage user to their contact so I could see their name instead of their phone number? I have my friend's phone number in their contact information and set it as iPhone.

Any ideaS?

Try going to the top of the conversation and clicking "contact" and add to existing contact....perhaps his "caller id" setting in iMessage is formatted differently than how you have his number currently in his contact info.

Yeah, I tried to re-add his contact information with no luck. Perhaps Gatteau is right and maybe the servers are real busy and causing things not to work properly.
