Imessage still showing on MBP when turned off .

Hey Guys, I have a 2019 MBP 13" Running Big Sur. I have Imessage turn on only on my iphone ( in the settings on MBP ) and they still are showing up on the MBP! I also have Imessage Icloud turned off on the MBP as well ... Any ideas? Thanks!

On your iPhone, check:
Settings -> Messages -> Text Message Forwarding
and de-select your MBP, if it is shown there

On your MBP, in:
Messages -> Preferences -> iMessage
are you signed out of your apple id as well as disabling iCloud messages?
