iMessage Unification

So I know ios6 is going to unify apple ids and phone numbers for iMessage. What about mountain lion? If I start an iMessage from my phone number my Mac doesn't know it exists. Will this be something they integrate when ios6 comes out or is the Mac version of iMessage going to miss out on this entirely?

The unification on iOS6 will solve the problems with OS X

i've got my apple ID unified to my phone number on my ipad but wasnt able to get it working in ML. I figured it was something we'd have to wait till iOS 6 goes public to get

Yeah, that is pretty annoying. I haven't heard that it will be integrated into ios6 but hopefully it will be.
