iMessage with international Sim overseas?

Hey all,

I was wondering if I pop in an international SIM in my phone and use iMessage and chat and text my g/f ok without any problems? I will be going on vacation in 2 days to Istanbul, Turkey and I will be using a Vodafone sim card in my iPhone 4s with the Grevey unlocker. I guess I message would use my email address as the chatting method instead of my local number here in NY correct?

There shouldn't be any problem with that.

As you say, you'll have to use your email address, as the phone number will be that of the SIM inserted in the phone at the time.

Works fine, I used it in Mexico with a Mexican SIM card.
