Works with iPhone, iPod and iPad (ios5 required on all devices). No other device can receive iMessages at the moment.

As already stated, the receiving entity must have iOS 5 installed on their iDevices.

If you try to send to a non-iOS device it just sends it as a regular text message. iMessages show up in blue text, regular sms show up as green text.
