When I try and send the button is blue but doesn't let me push it to send am I doing something wrong. I feel like an idiot ...iPad 1

Not sure. I didn't have my messages turn blue at all. I thought it was me that messed up, but I'm a tech nerd and couldn't figure it out. I brought it to the Apple store and they noticed the download didn't do it all right, so I had to start over and works now. Wiping it worked for me.
