Got iOS 9 public beta the other day. Most things are working really well, but I've noticed trouble sending iMessages while on Verizon LTE. They get stuck at "Sending"

Have iPhone 6 Plus. Verizon.

When I'm on wifi, it almost never happens. When on 3G, no issues. When sending as a text message, no issues.

I've narrowed it down to just when I'm on LTE.

Anyone else having the same issue or know how to fix?

Mine has been doing it a bunch too..same deal 6+ on Verizon. I tried resetting network settings and a hard reset but the problem kept happening. I saw on apples support forums that turning off cellular data in settings for a few minutes then turning it back on works. I did that a few hours ago and haven't had any issues yet.

Not just iMessages. It's any network connection on Verizon. I usually switch it to 3G which works.

Same problem here on both a 6 and 6 plus. I get random "not connected to the internet" messages and can't send imessage or access internet. Toggling cellular data usually fixes it temporarily.

Thanks goodness it's not just me! Although I did have some trouble sending an iMessage last night while on Wifi. Hopefully they can fix this bug in the next beta.

Does anyone have an iPad Air 2 with Verizon data? I have not had a hiccup yet on the iPad with LTE data and it's on the public beta of iOS 9. My iPhone 6 on Verizon loses data about once per day and I have to toggle the cellular data to get it working again, as others have observed. Just passing it along

I haven't noticed it on mine. But truth be told most of the work I do on my iPad is when I'm on the wifi. I'll try and take a look later see what I see.

No issues with TMing or iMessage on a VZW iPhone 6 with a clean install of iOS9 B3. Also no issues while roaming in USCC territory over the weekend.

I have the lastest Carrier Update for my account profile and latest PRL.

This was one of the main reasons why I went back to 8.4. That and the battery life just isn't where I wanted it to be on a beta. Everything else was pretty solid though. Ill probably try again with the second public beta

VZW's carrier updates have nothing to do with Apple's firmwares, never have - they're plan-specific. I have two iPhone 6 handsets on VZW - one has TMing (iOS9 B3, clean install), the other has it blocked (8.4) - and the Carrier profile number on the former is 20.6.10 and the latter is on 20.0, but the PRL is identical at 15379 (My Air is on 20.1 and my iPad 3 is on 20.5.4). All have UL data and are in a Nationwide Family Plan. There's 3 options to "fix" network related issues, 4 if you include this hand-holding...

The carrier settings are stored on the SIM card, not in Apple's firmwares.

First, ensure you're enabled for SMS so you'll have a back up option to iMessage. Option 1, log out and back in to iMessage - I did after the iOS 9 install (on one iPhone 6 and my iPad 3) - I have had no problems with iMessage since. Next Option, Log out of iMessage then Reset your Network Settings; after the reboot, re-enable iMessage - this worked for my iPhone after installing B2. Last Option, call VZW Tech Support - not CS, they're generally useless sales persons that can't help at all with this - and asked for a "network reset"; I did this just a few weeks ago when I was having problems connecting to VZW's network after a few days in USCC territory - a new Carrier Update came out the next day, and I didn't have a repeat of my network issues when I made the same trip this weekend.

I've never had luck with choosing the Settings>General>About option others have reported about.

Good luck.

I have had this issue, but only after being connect to a wifi environment and then switching off wifi to LTE. It's almost as if the phone doesn't realize there is no longer a wifi network to rely on, but shows LTE anyway. That's why toggling cellar data works, it forces the phone to think 'oh am I really on the network?'

Same issue. Terrible connections on both cellular and wifi. I agree with the switching from WIFI to LTE/3G. This is when I see the issue the most. Airplane On and Off fixes it temporarily until the next switch.

Same problem on my Verizon iPhone 6+ Beta 3. Usually once or twice a day I lose internet connection for all apps although it shows good LTE signal. Toggling cellular off, wait, then back on usually works temporarily. Hopefully fixed in the next beta.

On Verizon (iPhone 6) and also having troubles with messages. Mine is mainly when I am on LTE. On wifi it seems to be OK. A couple of times I have been away from the house - no messages, and as soon as I get home the messages come flooding in.

iOS 9 public beta, iPhone 6, VZW.

Having all sorts of LTE issues in New York, not just with iMessage.

Was working fine in Los Angeles.

glad I saw this. upgraded to beta3 while I was in Tokyo the last couple weeks. no issues, but of course wasn't using cellular data - wifi only. got back stateside and had no issues all day Wednesday in Chicago. now in NY and my LTE basically becomes unusable 2-3x a day. Very frustrating.

My problems with Verizon LTE in New York were so bad I had to uninstall iOS 9. In Florida for the couple of days I was on iOS 9, I didn't have any problems.

I did not notice any problems on my iPad Air 2.
