Some iMessages are not being delivered to my iPhone. The sender receives notification that it was delivered but it never arrives on my iPhone. is anyone else experiencing this issue?

The problem seems to have only started occurring since i had my phone stolen in December and i replaced it with a new one. This is leading me to believe that maybe the system has got confused and it is attempting to deliver iMessages to my old (stolen) handset. I was not able to wipe that device as the thieves immediately turned the device off.

Anyone else experiencing similar?

You should be able to send a remote wipe via iCloud.com. This may not fix your problem, however. You need to contact Apple Customer Service.

I sent a remote wipe within 5 minutes of the device being stolen, but the device was switched off and has not been switched back on (while my iCloud details are still stored on the device) and therefore a remote wipe has not been possible.

I guess I will just contact apple support and see what they say.

Thanks

Once you send a remote wipe, as soon as the iPhone is turned on and begins receiving data, it will process that remote wipe and your data should be removed from that device. It will not however fix the iMessage error.

but if the thieves removed the sim, the phone wont be able to receive data and can therefore also not be wiped.
