When I send an iMessage from my iPhone or iPad it does not seem to update to show this on either of my Macs. If I send it from my Mac it does not update on the iOS devices. It use to, and I am able to synch my Safari open tabs. Anyone know what might be wrong?

Thanks.

Are you logged in on all devices to the same iCloud account? When I turn my Mac on all the iMessages I have on my iPhone start queuing up.

Signing out of iCloud on iOS is very scary. It tells you if you sign out of iCloud it will delete all items in iCloud. What's that about? I always cancel this because I'm terrified of messing up something. What happens if I allow this? And how do I get everything back?

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure it says it will delete contents on the device, not iCloud.

I've signed out of iCloud on iPhones before, but all the contents in iCloud were safe.

It's always been like that, at least for me, since its introduction on Mountain Lion (2012).

From what I know, the messages are not stored in iCloud, so "syncing" messages across Apple devices is a bit strange...

However, I noticed that if I send a message from the device where new messages aren't appearing, these messages will eventually be downloaded.

Here's what it says: "If you sign out of your account, all photos in iCloud Photo Library and Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud will be removed from this iPad."

Is this what you are saying? If so, how do I get everything from iCloud back onto my iPad?

Yup. That is what I meant. It says your pictures will be "removed from this iPad" if you sign out of your iCloud account.

I am sure if you sign back in, the pictures will be re-downloaded just like your Notes, Reminders, schedules in your Calendar app, etc are downloaded. But I am not 100% sure since I don't use iCloud Photo Library... Hopefully others can chime in.

When you sign back into the iPad the images will be redownloaded, just make sure they have all been uploaded to the cloud prior and are up to sync. Then sign out of the iPad, removing the physically stored copies.
