Pretty pointless. You can't watch blu-ray movies, you can't write blu-ray discs and nothing uses blu-ray for data distribution.

$200 will buy a pretty decent standalone player.

If you just needed VLC then people would have got this working with a standard external drive ages age. Add to the fact that web site says you need a Mac with a 9300m, which no Mac has shipped with, it looks like they are either lying or haven't got a clue.
