iMore's Apple Music guide now available on iBooks

The folks at iMore pulled together a user guide for Apple Muisc. Over 150 pages. Looks really nice and is only $4.99. Says it will be updated as changes are made to Apple Music and they're also working on Kindle and Google Play versions.

Hats off to the iMore team for creating something Apple should have done from day 1.

Exactly. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure I really see the point to an Apple Music 'How To' Guide. It's not particularly hard to discover the functionality that's available, but whatever is there is kind of buggy at this point.

Pretty much. Probably why Jimmy Iovine and Trent Reznor shouldn't be in charge of creating music apps.

I'm with you. While apple music may not be the most intuitive UI at the moment it is something you can figure out quite easily.
 
I was tempted when they started mentioning it in the podcast, but since then I've used the app (for roughly 50 days now!) so I've pretty much discovered all I really care to know/do in the app. I'm waiting to see if the iOS 9 version brings some additional functionality or cleans up the interface. The example screen shot above is an example of the lack of design of the app. To get to the album a song is playing on the radio you'd have to know the steps. Intuitively it should just be a part of the (...) menu to 'go to artist,' 'go to album,' or something like that.

Also, how come Apple still hasn't figured out that if I like a song and want to start a new playlist with it...I should just be able to do that. Too often I'll hear a song on Beats or a radio station and want to create a new playlist, but you have to go to playlist first, create and name a new one, then go back to the radio section and add the song in then...and at times the app is buggy and still wont add the song to the playlist without searching under "new" or "my music -> apple music" and adding it in that way.

Talk about the number of different places you need to fiddle the settings just to get the iCloud music sync working.
