I purchased a 2.4, 1GB, 20' iMac a couple of days ago and have been unable to load iMovie. I get the following error message:

The application iMovie quit unexpectedly.

Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.

Click relaunch to launch the application again... send the details to Apple etc.

I managed to load it once just to have a quick look at all the applications, but I can't for the life of me think what I have done. I am by no means a tech expert, so any help would be appreciated as this is my first mac. I just hope that I don't have to re-install Tiger and then Leopard, urgh. Everything else seems to be fine though - it's one sexy beast up close.

have you tried the software update - mine was doing this until I updated! i also deleted any divx files that were on my imac
