iMovie 1.1 for iOS4 - how do I add titles to still images?

Can you spell "LAME"? Apple can, it seems. There is NO way to add titles to a still image montage in iMovie 1.1 for iOS4, or so it seems. Am I missing something particularly illusive here?

lol I got this ages ago but never had the time to try it... done so now and all i seemed to do was add some dodgy music over the top of a recorded movie. Lame maybe a good description...........

Waiting for replies and gonna see Apple's site. I gotta be missing something! lol

This is why Free software & Open source exist. I cannot stand the "Daddy knows best" BS that companies like Apple inflict on their users. I mean, why can you not change the title font? scale the duration? position the titles? Why the ******* is there not something as ridiculously obvious as fade to black/white?

Oh, and yes - you're right - talk about sickeningly twee theme music! Why do the title backgrounds take up ONE THIRD of my screen, with their "nursery theme" colours? The transitions, it would seem, want to be STAR of *my* show, with their "aren't Apple clever" showoffy animations - GTF out of my way, I want my users to see MY content, not Apple's sh_t transitions, thanks!

If you cannot stand that then why do you continue to support it? You bought an app from "big daddy" and then you complain about daddy knows best?! Daddy must know best if you bought it in spite of your feelings.

Guess what? I didn't buy it. Someone lent me their copy... and it is rubbish.

You can't but a solution to this is to add the picture that you want to add text to then export it as a video then when you put that video of the picture back in imovie it will let you add text.
