I made a iMovie. Hooray. Now, how do i get the part of silent music i faded dow to get cut out? IMPOSSIBLE? i want to export it to iDVD, so i guess no QT? almost considering express...

Sounds like he has the music faded in the middle of the track, but he wants to trim off the silent part after the fade.

I use FCP, but I think in iMovie there is a Trim Selection at Playhead or something of that nature in one of the menus, I think the shortcut is Apple-T. Again though, I haven't used iMovie since just after v.3 was released.

Yep. I learned how to do this just last night. Go into the time view (clock icon—as opposed to the clip view with the film icon) and move the playhead to where you want to cut the song file. Highlight the song file. Then press Command-T. It will cut the song in two. Then click on the part of the song that you don't want and hit Delete. Voila!

(Of course, like everyone else I'm not sure if this is what you mean. But I hope it helps.)
