iMovie exported to portrait mode, even though video was edited in landscape; how to fix?

I'm new to using iMovie, and yesterday I edited a short video for a class with no major problems, and everything came out just fine. Earlier today, I did what I thought was the same thing, but when it got through being exported, it was in portrait mode. I can't figure out what I did differently or how to make it go back to landscape. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
