iMovie for exporting movies to the iPod w/o QT Pro

I recently discovered that the quicktime 7.0.3 update enables iMovie to export movies for the video iPod. It's not as straightforward as the other methods, but this one is free. You don't need QT Pro for this to work. The exact procedure is a bit long, so check out my blog post on how to use iMovie to export movies for the iPod.

Meh. Just buy or 'acquire' a Quicktime serial... It's worth having anyway.

Actually, this procedure works on my iPod and I think it's a great way to get movies into the correct format without having to shell out money for QT Pro (but it can be slower). I use it when I want to put my home movies into the iPod format.

Still, ffmpegx is still the best (free) solution out there as it's basically a dozen or so programs in one. Very fast and convenient.

'acquire' as you call it is wrong - it's not alot of money for QT Pro

QT Pro is the simple way but there are alternatives to get things on your iPod

I agree, but it'd be very naive to say it doesn't happen.
