hi there,i've imported a movie from my mini dv video camera into imovie
i want to share it to quicktime and save it on my hard drive so that i can burn it on a dual layer dvd as a video file, not a dvd movie.
i noticed that there is an option of "full quality" and tried it with that, but it seems like it could've been better.
there are custon settings but i don't know which format will produce the same output.
file size(within reason)is no problem as i'm going to burn it on a dual layer dvd
the only restrictions i have is that it has to be 4:3 and PAL
i've noticed DV-PAL as an option but there is also DVCPRO and DVCPRO50 as well as others
which is the best to use to achieve max quality?

DVCPRO and DVCPRO50 (as well as DVCAM and others) are different tape formats like the MiniDV cassette that your video camera uses. Just export your movie as a DV file, as there's no need to save it in a different tape format when the original footage was shot in DV.

ok,thanks a lot man
i've been waiting forever on this :)

i have saved it as .dv and it looks fine, thanks again
