I make a lot of movies in iMovie using still photo's from my camera. On my old iMac the iMovie icon was part of the dock. Now,with our new iMac I can only access it if I go into the purchase section of the iTunes Store.

QUESTION 1... How do I get it into the dock as a regular icon ? ... it's on the dock in the local Apple store demo models, why not on my new Mac ?

Question 2. On our old mac once an iMovie was finished I could share it and put into Media Browser so I could access it and burn a disc using iDVD. Now, with the new Macs not having a disc burnerI have to buy a Super Drive so I can burn discs. What dvd program do I have to buy that lets me use my iMovie project to burn discs ?

Thanks.

I can only answer Question 1.

The application should be in your Applications Folder in Finder. Go there and you can drag the application to the dock to keep a shortcut there.

Thanks very much. Boy, I must have had a moment of stupidity. I never thought of the Application folder. Thanks again, and Happy New Year :)

I use a free app called "Burn" to burn CDs or DVDs.

Thanks, I will have a look at it.
