iMovie 10.1.10 novice here. I've created PNGs from PDFs for an iMovie presentation. I added the "FOR PERUSAL ONLY" watermark with an automator script. There are 13 such images, and the one here is just an example of the problem. If you look closely, about one-quarter of the image is black on the left side. The image is 8.5x11, but all of them have that large black border on the left side. Did I miss a setting to show the full image? How do I show the full image? Thanks. Thanks, Dave. The other settings in the crop menu don't fix it. I wonder if something in the transfer from PDF to PNG created that black border. I've used www.pdf2png.com to create PNG files from PDFs before without a problem (in both Windows and Mac). Now it caused that black border. For a workaround, I've imported the straight PDFs into iMovie, and they seem to work OK. Does iMovie accept PDFs, or does iMovie convert the PDFs automatically?

I know that Preview can save as and export PDFs to PNGs.

Thanks, Dave. That's encouraging. Then I don't have to create PNGs from PDFs at all! Just to be clear about how I'm using these images in iMovie, here's an example:
. Thanks again.
