iMovie with High Sierra

I was running Sierra on my trashcan Mac Pro and just upgraded to High Sierra. I don't want to go any higher than High Sierra at this time.

I own iMovie and went to the AP store to download the older most current version of iMovie that will run on High Sierra. It downloaded iMovie 10.1.12 When i click on iMovie I get the error message "iMovie quit unexpectedly" Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Have you tried a restart? You could try deleting it and redownloading.
