Impedance and power of iMac G3 speakers

Hi

Does anyone know the impedance (ohms) and power rating (Watts) of the iMac G3 speakers?

Mine have worn out. I took them apart and the speaker membrane has completely deteriorated causing them to buzz and rattle.

I know that second hand speakers are available, but I was wondering whether it would be possible to connect my own, appropriately matched, speakers to the iMac?

I have searched the net for the impedance and power rating but to no avail.
