I ordered a refurbished iMac from Apple Canada website. It looks like the product is coming from California. My question is, does Apple cover any import duties and taxes at the border? UPS is the one delivering the iMac btw.

If you ordered your refurbished iMac from Apple Canada and you live in Canada, then all Canadian taxes are included in the price. Why would you think otherwise?
I was just surprised it's originating from the US. But now that you've mentioned it, makes sense that all taxes are included.
