Previously before the MacOS 10.15 Catalina upgrade, I had very few problems importing photos I'd take on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Android smartphone into Photos via a USB connection. But now I am not getting anything. Photos and Image Capture both recognize the device, but nothing happens; no photos appear in the Photos application. Could one of the new security features in Catalina be preventing Photos and Image Capture from reading images on an Android phone?

I moved from a Note 10 Plus to an iPhone 11 Pro and I used an app called iMazing to transfer my photos and music, super convenient with drag and drop and you're done. It is a paid app though but saves you a lot of hassle.

Nice, but I like to be cross-platform, hence my using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and an iPod Touch 6G (soon to be replaced with a 7G!) Heck, in my room I have two desktop computers set up; my quad-core i7 Mac Mini from 2012 and a Dell Optiplex 9010 small-tower PC that's had some internal upgrades. After all, I plan to work in I.T...

Anyways, I found a solution that'll do. I can just import the photos onto my Mac using the WonderShare Tunes Go software I already use to load music on my Samsung Galaxy, by importing photos to a folder in my Pictures folder, then drag and drop the imported images into Photos!
