Guys is there any way I can import passwords from a windows based browser like edge or chrome into keychain so they are available on my iPhone Safari browser

Thx

2nd part of question-once I install Safari for windows, I guess I can import passwords from Google Chrome with will also place the passwords in keychain making it available on my iPhone. Correct?

Thx

It's File > Import From. For guidance, go to the Help menu and search for "import". You could do this either on your Mac or your PC. Either way, they go into iCloud Keychain to be available on all devices.

can someone tell me how to sign in with apple ID on safari for windows? I'm not seeing any option in settings
I can't see an option for importing all chrome/edge passwords either

I could only find Safari 5.1.7 from a 3rd party website and I think it's from 2012

In Edge, open edge://settings/passwords, and at the bottom of that tab you should see a button for saved passwords. Next to that button are 3 dots ... Click that and you should be presented with options to export passwords.

Once you have the export file, you can then import that into keychain via a Mac as @chabig points out above. I don't think there is any way to import passwords to keychain on iOS or via windows.

EDIT - you might be able to do this via Windows by installing iCloud for Windows on your Windows PC. I've not tried this nor do I have that loaded to test, but you might look into that.

No File - Import in icloud for windows option exists. I installed the Edge extension but so far, it's not showing any of my 500 saved passwords on my iphone

You can’t. The Windows iCloud Keychain extensions and manager doesn’t really allow batch import/export.

If you want to import from Chrome/Edge/Firefox to Safari, you need a Mac.

Alternately, you can use a Google or Microsoft account to sync passwords to Chrome/Edge for iOS.

If I sync to edge on IPhone, any way to get those passwords into safari on iphone

I have sync turned on both on edge for windows & IOS but when I go to any website, it doesn't fill in any passwords. In IOS settings on the iphone, I also have autofill passwords to use Edge and not keychain

Do passwords autofill when you use the Edge for iOS browser?

Just enabled it on my laptop then iPhone. Had the same issue you saw originally.

I opened Edge on the iPhone and checked Account Settings and it showed Sync not working. I opened Sync Settings - Sync and then it started working after that.

Got it but are your passwords actually showing up? On my side everything with sync is working including bookmarks and history but no passwords

I only added one (1) password to Edge on my laptop (like I mentioned, I don’t really use Edge). Yep, the lone password shows up on Edge for iOS and it worked for Safari autofill as well.

Maybe you can check on your Windows PC if password sync is enabled and working properly?
