Every day there is a new issue with this damn OS.

I am going into Photos, i have connected my phone, i have selected the "import all new items" and NOTHING happens. I individually selected on the photos, select import selected items and some items get imported to the "IMPORTS" folder and some don't. It doesn't even give an error message just stays on the page as if it never registered an action.

WTF is wrong with Apple products man. Everything has some damn issue.

Why not just use the Image Capture app to import photos to the Mac? That’s what I use as importing photos with the photos app can be a real mess

Can you explain the process? I never knew about this Image Capture app.

Nothing to explain really. Just attach your iPhone to your Mac and open the Image Capture app and follow directions. Works every time for me. I never use the Photos app.
Exactly. I made the mistake of trying to import photos with the photos app and the process was an absolute nightmare that got stuck half way and took me close to an hour to mess around with. Image capture imports all the photos in such ease into any given folder on the Mac and that is all. Simply connect iPhone and click import

I connected my Samsung S10 to my MacBook Pro, set the usb connection setting on the phone to "Transfer images", and Image Capture has successfully brought a list of photos on the phone. I think it will import to the pictures folder. I'd then import to the Photos app from there. It does a far better job of showing the pictures than using the Photos app. When I use the photos app I get a huge collection of picture files from apps showing up, it's awful, out of order and a lot of thumbnails don't even show.

Thanks, never used this before so will do from now on and alot easier.

I open Photos import all my pictures (around 3500). Disconnect then reconnect the phone and Photos wants to import 2500 of the same bloody pictures again...WTF?!

Have same problems with photos. Totally crazy amount of bugs.

1) phone get stuck and disconnects it the middle of the import.

2) some photos won’t import, some photos duplicates.

3) photos imported via image capture won’t in sync with photos in the phone (very different count).

ive spent 3 ****ing days to figure out what’s going on and troubleshoot. Photos on mac, image capture and even transfer of raw file structure with iMazing was used in multiple scenarios. There minimum 3 separate problems in the process. Even Messages and iCloud somehow involved.

would discuss this in more details if someone interested

Yup. I noticed image capture has a differnt count then the phone itself loll.

Apple iOS's is turning into Windows...full of bugs and issues. so far big sur and all the iOS for the watch and iPhone are full of apps crashing or the device due to the iOS draining the battery.
