I like a lot of people have had issues with the battery life. After a full night of charging I noticed that my battery was degrading fairly quickly even quicker than my previous phone which had a very small battery. I started looking for answers when someone on this forum mentioned the MAIL settings. Specifically the AUTO and MANUAL modes for checking mail. I switched mine to manual night and I alreadynotice a difference. I took the phone of of its dock at 630am and its 11:15 and I still have a full battery after a 5-10 min fone call and numerous texts! Also there is the absence of alot of that GSM feedback from surrounding speakers. I think that when you have the settings at EVERY 15 or EVERY 30 the phone ends up using a lot of juice and is even worse if the signal is poor and maybe the phone keeps trying get a good signal to check the mail. Whatever the case is my phones battery is much better and that noises from the interference is gone!

Cheers!

of my hand will get me slapped.
I have minde on AUTO 15 mins and get 3 days of use. Maybe 1.5 hours talk timea day. 3 or 4 hours of listening to podcasts using the built in speakers a day. Uncountable times looking at email and showing it off.

First thing I did was shut off bluetooth.

I have not charged mine since Tuesday. I spend all day, at work, on these forums:) and my mail is checked every 30 Min. But I have only made maybe 5 short calls and have WiFi off.

oh, i should add, i am due for a recharge- at 20% now.

what is the difference between manually checking e-mail and having the iphone check it every 15 or 30 minutes? I have mine set to manual and when I sent myself an e-mail from my computer using different e-mail accounts. My iphone still notified me that I had a new e-mail in less than a minute. Your replies would be appreciated
