Mac Pro delivery update for order WXXXXXXXX

Dear XYZ,
Thank you for your recent order. We know you're excited to get started with your new Mac Pro, so we'd like to give you a quick update on the status of your order.

So I saw this email come and and was like WAAAAA? only to find out it's completely content free. Tells me nothing I didn't know before. Seriously Apple? Poor me :)

love the part where it tells you they will email you when there is an update.

one of my favorite mac apps is delivery status, by the way.

They were speculating that if you got one your order was close to shipping. But I got the email and I ordered rather late on the morning of the 19th.
 
Maybe some people are cancelling orders and to defend against this they reaffirm customers that they haven't forgotten you.

i ordered on the 26th and did not get an email. i was up that night that they went on sale and when i saw BTO options were not shipping immediately i said to myself 'what's the harm in waiting until morning to order?' oops!

i also ordered a few extras a couple days ago, just to have other options in the queue in case reviews made me rethink my choice.

perhaps some configurations might ship faster than others?
 
Well it would be nice if this was some early warning signal that mine is shipping before too long, like maybe they started to build it today or something. Who knows? My order status page hasn't changed.

I need time to sort out storage and display options. I can't use my older iMac in target display mode.
 
Got this today too , really strange. Ordered in the first 20 minutes, CTO, Canada. Says January also.
 
Same here, ordered it 10minutes after the nMP hit the store - BTO (just 512GB SSD instead of 256GB) - Germany...
 
‘Delivery Status’ is a Dashboard widget (that does a few nice things like send updates to Notification Centre).

But it doesn’t support Apple Australia!

I just got the “really, we haven’t forgotten you” email. Ordered first day.
